...but rain has all those cleansing metaphors attached to it. So this, boys and girls, is the beginning of Year Two. And it's 7:30 in the morning and the world is dark and I should run out the door right now to catch a bus because we're still in "the buses are really full at 8 in the morning" time.
But...man. One year down. Wow.

He called me twice - once and left a message, and then again during my fruitless trip downtown.

Happy anniversary, boys! May Year Two bring you happiness and adventures.
I have an assorted cheese plate being delivered to you as we speak.
(On an unrelated note... somewhat unrelated... Stephen was called today by someone named Christine... looks like we'll be at the UVic Pride Welcome Back soiree... hopefully we'll catch you there. Perhaps drinks and/or dinner beforehand this time, yes?)

Hahaha... I just told Stephen that you guys went to the Japanese Village for your anniversary, and now he's salivating.
Looks like we're headed there tonight.

Soooo good! Either sushi or Teppan there is amazing; the steakhouse is fairly expensive but reasonable for what you get.

Yup yup-- we've been there several times (went for Stephen's birthday, actually...!) and it has yet to disappoint. :)
For the record, we ended up going to Siam by pressure of our dinner companions.

Siam's good too; haven't been there in a while, though. I think I prefer Baan Thai for Thai food, though.

I think that we should continue to secretly have an ongoing discussion in the comments box of this unassuming post.
It'd be like we're cheating on the rest of your blog! Dirty and scandalous!
(And I prefer Ba'an Thai as well... but, alas, we let our friends choose the place to eat. BASTARDS.)

Baan Thai is the shizmet! Their red snapper - mmmm! And everything else, as well :-)

The red snapper is divine. They actually have some remarkable curries, considering I grew up in absolute disdain of all things curried. A decent selection of Vegetarian dishes and some great Phad Thai of different varieties.
Mmn. I need to eat more Thai.
