How to make everyone think you're charming and fantastic even if you aren't

My dad arrives today, this afternoon, while I'm at work. Should be a fun couple of days, but the house is going to be a bit crowded for the next little while (especially because Michelle has some random friend from Calgary staying over on Saturday night). Whatever. The plan includes a trip to the museum for the big, shiny, new Egyptology exhibit, which promises to include a lot of ornate artifacts and golden sceptres.

aww, yay for daddies !

There was an Egyptology exhibit going on at the Royal Ontario Museum right before I left Toronto. They were all proud since it was stright from the British Museum, but in reality, but was all the stuff they had in the basement that wasn;t good enough for the BM's main Egyptology display. Aw well.

Was it the one with the goofy electronic lecture devices narrated by John Rhys-Davies? Because it must have been the same thing.

Some of the mummification stuff was interesting, and I liked the papyrus samples from a Book of the Dead a lot. And I've seen the actual British Museum collection (rosetta stone!)
