Reading Alex Shakar's City in Love: The New York Metamorphoses, a collection of short stories based on Ovid's Metamorphoses. There are several stories in the book based on myths I didn't know, and as I'm about to start the one based on Caenis and her transformation into Caeneus:
If I had two frogs, one would be named Ovid, and the other Heqet, the Egyptian goddess of frogs.

What if you had a million frogs? I'd buy you a green dress, but not a real green dress, that's cruel.
We could call the faux-green dress Shirley and you could wear Shirley around town.

I have considered getting a frog, actually - the obvious problem being that I couldn't keep a cactus alive. We'll see. I think about it on and off.
Did you hear about the woman who apparently gave birth to a frog recently? She went swimming, apparently, and probably picked up some fetal tadpoles. It's apparently being rigourously tested as we speak.
