Leave the dishes to Gerta, darling, we've got company.

Had the first weird little zine meeting with Joy, looked at potential names and decided on one that we like, subject to suggestions and final votes. Also ironed out a proposal for meeting protocol and hierarchy issues to prevent certain problems so that we can, you know, have a blast doing this. Sat in Second Story and wrote postcard stories. Feeling energized, plan on spending a couple hours working on ideas for fiction.

Also went to the Lotus Pond for cheap Vegetarian chinese. Love those soy balls.

Joy:

Let's call it 'weird little zine.'

ben:

*grin*

I have eaten at Lotus Pond three times this week on my lunch breaks. So cheap. So serene. So vegan.

And ditto on the soy balls.

did you know after 2:30 everything at lotus pond is 1/2 price....?

sweet....

Joy:

No ... Not sweet .. Horrible scavenging assholes. Budging in line and grousing at the top of their lungs if they didn't get to the front of the line before the food runs out. High tension, high blood pressure, lots of crowding and subtle sneaking. I know, cuz I've been one of them. Would rather get there early, pay full price, and behave like a human being.

ben:

It's not like it's hugely overpriced to begin with, either. I mostly have to issues with claustrophobia and -stench- after 2:30. I'm sorry if I'm not being bohemian enough, but I've never liked being shoved into a small space with a lot of people who don't bother to -clean- themselves. Especially when it's around food.

But the turnip cakes are like happiness made solid and edible.
