We had to trespass through barbed wire and over steep rocks to get this shoot done and were eventually kicked out when a menacing man in a large truck and aviator glasses found us. With his glaring, glaring headlights.

Let me know what you think.

so many thanks to xavier for hosting these. he's hosting these because he's basically the best person of all time.

I love them, looks like they came from a fashion glossy.

Some of them reminded me of a post-apocalyptic fashion spread, which I take as good thing. Also, Jesus shirt!

Very moody, and dynamic. Helps to have a beautiful and experienced model, doesn't it?
Bring your camera to Cowtown next week, K?

xavier is by FAR my favbourite model. he moves really well. and yes, he's very (naturally) dynamic with the camera.

and of course i'm bringing the camera to CT. there'll be way too much to document there.

thanks for the comments, guys. post-apocalyptic was what i thought when i saw these, too.

As seen in the next issue of Purple???
I want to start a fashion glossy just so I can have you be the main fashion editor, xaiver the model, and so I can style all the spreads.....

Posted by: caroline at April 12, 2007 12:54 PM

Yeah, but as long as it's only one issue. Magazines are total crapshoots.

Posted by: Xavier at April 12, 2007 8:04 PM

LIFE is a total crapshoot, man.

Posted by: caroline at April 13, 2007 12:51 PM

maybe a "art" booook? are books crapshoots?

Posted by: mel at April 13, 2007 8:53 PM

hahah! books are the worst crapshoots of all!

Yeha but inmagine having to publish a book everymonth, not only of your own work but of ads for brands that somehow enhance your work, and having to deal a legion of contributors. I just meant, I've met these people that do these giant rad magazines(i-D, DAZED). Their lives are all unpaid work and worrying about trends.

Yeah an art book could be pretty cool, but we'd all have to be famouser to get it published. Let's see in 5 years. We'll all still be in our 20s and maybe we'll all be a little famouser. (Goddamn this generation of narcissists)
