Nothing of importance to speak of, so here's another questionnaire...

Another one stolen from Joy. Again, stolen in turn from someone else: Devon.

1. The phone rings. Who do you want it to be?
Someone to talk to, I love talking! :-D

2. When shopping at the grocery store, do you return your cart?
Yes, although I've stolen it a couple of times during my time living by myself in Australia. LOL

3. In a social setting, are you more of a talker or a listener?
I guess I prefer to be a listener unless I get into a good conversation with one or two people. I tend to crap on too much.
I well known for spouting verbal diarrhea and have also earned the name "Captain Random".

4. Do you take compliments well?
I am quite modest and usually end up blushing.

5. Do you play Sudoku?
Hmmm....No, although I do like puzzle-based video games. Ie. Tetris and Columns (I am the king of Columns 3!!!)

6. If abandoned alone in the wilderness, would you survive?
Yes, my prior training will serve me well!

8. Did you ever go to camp as a kid?
This is related to the previous answer; many times!

9. What was your favorite game as a kid?
Well, that's a difficult question to answer. I'll assume this excludes video games to make it easier on myself.
I would have to say Countries, which is an much more elaborate version of Cops and Robbers.

10. If a sexy person was pursuing you, but you knew he/she was married, would you?
Did it once before, never again. It's not worth it...

12. Could you date someone with different religious beliefs than you?
Considering I'm technically an atheist, I guess I could look past it.

13. Do you like to pursue or be pursued?
Both can be fun in certain situations. But, I guess I'd prefer to be pursued.

14. Use three words to describe yourself?
talks too much

15. Do any songs make you cry?
Anything related to death, it's kind of a touchy subject.

16. Are you continuing your education?
In the IT industry, it's very necessary to keep up.

17. Do you know how to shoot a gun?
Never touched one. I only like guns involved in video games, because there are no implicated consequences.

18. If your house was on fire, what would be the first thing you grabbed?
I would grab the hard drive with all my personal documents on it. (God, I'm such a nerd..!)

19. How often do you read books?
I go through phases. Many in a short period of time, but the periods can be fleeting.

20. Do you think more about the past, present or future?
I think about them in the order they are listed, but I think it should be different.

21. What is your favorite children's book?
Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass were my favorite children's titles, but my favorite books that I read when I was a kid were the Red Dwarf novels.

22.What color are your eyes?
Brown.

23. How tall are you?
I always forget, so I'll just say average height for a Caucasian.

24. Where is your dream house located?
Somewhere green and lush. Maybe somewhere in Australia. Possibly in Hokkaido.

27. Have you ever taken pictures in a photo booth?
Now that I think about it, no! I've only ever gotten ID pictures with an actual photographer.

28. When was the last time you were at Olive Garden?
The last time I was where?!

Shin-Yurigaoka, where my workplace is located.

I don't get enough sleep lately. I eat more out of necessity. (That simple bare necessity)

34. Do you look like your mum or dad?
My mother is deceased and I didn't really know her, so I can only say my dad.

35. How long does it take you in the shower?
Depends how tired I am. On average, 15 minutes.

36. Can you do the splits?
I almost got it perfect, then I subluxated my right knee and neither have been the same since.

37. What movie do you want to see right now?
I' ve got Reservoir Dogs sitting here by recommendation waiting for me to watch it.
I also want to see both of the Trick movies.

39. What did you do for New Year's?
Beer towers and K1 at Machida, dance club in Shibuya, long and disoriented ride home that ended at 7:30 AM.

40. Do you think The Grudge was scary?
God no. That movie sucked. (I only watched the Japanese one, screw the American remakes)

42. Do you own a camera phone?
Yes. I prefer to use my digital camera, although the phone comes in handy when I don't have it on me.

44. Was your mom a cheerleader?
Not that I know of, no.

45. What's the last letter of your middle name?

Generally, yes. At least, I hope so.

69. What is your favorite time of day?
In the wee hours of the morning. Everything is silent unless you change it and fun can be ensued in various ways.

OK, maybe there's a couple of things.

Nothing particularly of interest to speak of, but I'll talk regardless.
Out of all the language exchanges, I only have one that's remained dedicated, she's almost like a big sister to me now.
My room-mates love to party. Oh, how they love to party!
I moved my computer into my bedroom after finally teaching myself how to setup a wireless network in Japanese. It makes me feel more at home and free to do my own thing.
I also figured out how to connect my Nintendo DS to one of the wireless networks in this building (not mine, because I use REAL protection (WPA)).
The PSP hacking antics continue and become easier every time.
GINA is still the place to be and I've made quite a few friends there, including a couple of guys I'm going to play with in a band.
Apparently, I'm going to Roppongi this weekend to go clubbing. I guess I'm a bit apprehensive, but I'm sure my friend'll take care of me.
Finally, since there are many people leaving our branch and my friend Adrian is coming back around the same time; we have our fingers crossed that he'll be coming to work with us! Here's hoping!

Until the next rant, take care all...

I love the BitTorrent race! I hate cheap USB devices...

Today isn't my usual day off (but I have it off due to a shift swap), so it's not often that I get to join in a BitTorrent race! Today, it's the new episode of Lost that everyone's been waiting months for.
Last few weeks (on a Friday), it's been new episodes of Hana Yori Dango 2.
It's really fun (for me) watching all the thousands of numbers fly by as many people cooperate to spread the file as quickly as possible. Also, amusing to see the number of people trying to hack your client to get a little extra bandwidth!

Alas, the USB Wireless network adapter crapped out on me, so I was forced to fork out some cash for a new one. But I wasn't going to risk another one dying, so I went and got a PCI model.

You know, it's a good thing I don't tell chicks I'm interested in about my blog! ;-D

Confused...in Zama

Today is my first day house-sitting for my friend in Zama. I had a short ordeal when I discovered that her monitor's cable plug was not compatible with my video card. It's some strange plug that I've only encountered in Japan. However, plug on the monitor itself is DVI, so I promptly travelled back to Atsugi to purchase of a DVI -> DVI cable.
Also had another ordeal as the train turnstile ate my ticket, but when I returned from Zama and motioned to the porter it ate my ticket, he kindly opened the machine and returned my expensive monthly-purchased ticket to me.
Enjoying more Australian and American TV whilst relaxing in silence (something that there hasn't been abundance of as late in my apartment - see post prior to previous).
Roppongi was fun, didn't do much because I enjoyed TGI Fridays too much to go clubbing. Made another good friend.
But there is another friend that is still plaguing my mind...

My love affairs are always experienced in confusion
I wonder if my feelings are just a delusion
They ask for my trust and understanding
They ask for my affection, but is their love meandering?
What is this devotion and adulation that I constantly pine for?
Is this an experience that I'm willing to die for?
Absolutely and constantly I am presented with riddles
Do I look like Batman? Will my thumbs forever twiddle?
When will this game of persuasion conclude?
Is there some truth that will somehow protrude?
I know they're from Venus and I am from Mars.
And somehow love is decided in bars!
Are there infinite questions that are to be asked?
Am I impatient? Will they naturally be unmasked?
My soul simmers as music softens my soul
It's soothing tones make diamonds from coal
Why is it that I'm so fretful?
Is it because I'm also regretful?
Whatever isn't killing me is making me stronger
But sometimes I just can't wait any longer

Poetry is good for releasing one's emotions. Hehe.

Faithfull (To have faith)

Oh, what a week! Where do I start?
The week in Zama (house-sitting for Tracey) was relaxing; a nice little vacation.
Went out with a friend on her birthday (Tuesday night) to Antique & Junk in Noborito. I think I drank a little too much though! Enjoyed some good japanese food and culture nonetheless.

Wednesday and Thursday were spent exploring and revisiting my psyche as I re-discovered the roots of my happiness and passions in life.

Friday was an amazing night. I met up with my new friend Ryoko (who works in the same building as me) and we met up with her friends in Roppongi - A night out enjoyed by 4 Australian guys and 4 Japanese girls.
First stop was an Australian bar by the name of Quest - excellent beer and atmosphere. Found myself drinking Crown Lager for the first time in ages.
Next stop was a bar called Hobgoblin; also Australian themed. Ate fish and chips and found myself drinking another Australian for the first time in what seems like an eternity; VB.

On said night, I found myself becoming acquainted with an incredible woman; Fumi. She is a project manager in a Foreign bank and a jazz singer. Spent the rest of the night with her and some of her friends in another bar and then her friend's apartment. Every time I go to Roppongi, I am forced to stay there until 5 am due to the lack of trains in the twilight hours and the fact that I live longer than an hour away from most places in Tokyo. Fumi was kind enough to accompany me to he train station in the morning.

The following night, I once again met up with Fumi, dined at a Thai restaurant and had another amazing night.
Last night, we went to the Prince Hotel Cinema in Shinagawa. We watched The Departed, which is Martin Scorsese's latest film. Was quite interesting.

What are the chances?
You've got me in trances
I'll never be sinking
If of you I am thinking
Myself, I am beaming
Am I just dreaming?
Such a fantastic relation
I love this elation
There isn't a place that I would rather be
When I close my eyes, you're all I see
