It's Cake Day!

Woke with the man I love, went to class, had coffee with the special Penny, looked at fallen trees, had a beer and food with people I love, and went to a puppet show.
More later.

1. I turned thirty, and still cannot figure out "its" and "it's." I give up on that one. I salute you, oh Punctuation, you foul beast. I bow before you and the English language. You have bested me.
2. Gah, bouncers shouldn't me drunker than me. Especially at a place with peanut shells on the floor, bras on the ceiling, and people sitting at the bar making a mess of themselves.
3. I can still party like a twenty year old. I don't want to anymore.
4. I am finally over my aversion to rice. My mother (bless her confused little heart) used to cook the most god-awful rice dishes and casseroles. Greasy, gooey, and sometimes filled with mystery meat, they put me off rice for a long long time. I remember this one pineapple, pork, ketchup and rice thing. And who can forget that "spannish pie" thing that was ground beef, ketchup, and rice that looked nothing at all like a pie and didn't taste anything like I imagine Spain. I now own a rice cooker, and a bag of Basmatti rice (so delicious!).
5. I am going to graduate this year, so long as I stop with the shiney things distracting me. Don't worry Internet, I'll always love you and your time consuming ways, but I need to study a little more often.
6. Inspired by Steph's recent post on agoraphobia, I plan to post more mathematics on this good ol' blog. I think I get tired of writing the about the daily grind pretty quick, so maybe some math will be more interesting for me. So then, what mathematics do people want to know about?
update:7. I'm now a cream-in-my-coffee kind of person. Take that as you will.

Taken a long time ago in the Ross Bay Cemetary, with film, that's how old it is.

Taken at about the same time as yesterday's photo, at Dallas Road.

The fountain at the Legislature Buildings at night. Film, from around summer 2001 or so.
I'm going to try to upgrade the software that runs the blogs on Thursday evening. There should be lots of juicy goodness if it works. Tears, fits, and profanities are likely in the event of a water landing.
The site will be unavailable starting on Thursday evening from 10:00 PM Pacific Time. The archives and indicies will be still be available as the software doesn't need to touch them. You won't be able to login or post comments though.
Wish us luck!
