I converted the camera raw file from RGB to HSV, and then did something (auto-levels or something: this is the accident). Then converted it back to RGB and this was the result.
I doubt I'll ever be able to do it again.

The red is beautiful and gives the foliage a weird texture - it almost seems like an amorphous mass consuming the building, rather than plant life.
