Thoughts I've Been a Thinkin' Lately

  • Why do my fish hate each other?
  • Why have all the fonts on my Mac changed? They look so much prettier now.
  • Why are some friends so much easier to be around?
  • What is the future of negativepsace.net?
  • Anyone done a google for "electronic nipple" lately? You'll be surprised.
  • Why is it so hard to get started on homework, yet so easy to complete once it's begun?
  • How the hell does Arvo Pärt write such amazing music?
  • Why is Thor suddenly the dominant fish in the tank? I've caught him beating up Dante three times today. Right now, Dante is hiding behind the plastic plant.

It has been a hell of a few weeks. I chided August for being dull and boring. I think that might have been a mistake. September has been anything but boring.

This entry brought to you by the letter "all over the map" and the number "calculus."

Now...I can hardly claim to be an Arvo Pärt expert, having only ever sung/heard one piece by him, but dammit, I just hated it so much.

Which Arvo Pärt piece was it?

I wish I could answer these questions and ease your mind... in the meantime, all I can offer you is...

...er...

Something. With *stuff*...!

Let's all hang out again soon. Yes.

I love the Beatitudes. Lately, I've been listening to the Kanon Pokajanen, which makes me want to cry.

I suppose they might sound all right from the outside, but from the inside, it's just a big ol mess. Keep in mind I'm the guy who doesn't like Benjamin Britten all that much. Hymn to St. Cecilia? I mean really . . . WTF is that? Hahaha . . .

Oh I bet I'm in trouble now.

Actually, Britten's Hymn to St. Columbus is pretty amazing.

matt:

the future of negativespace.net?

ben:

I'm thinking dystopian, with a lot of chrome.

dan:

Ooh - shiny. Chrome. Can I vote for a chrome website?

I dunno . . . Michael's got a PowerBook . . . chrome's already a theme in both hardware and OS software . . .
