There seems to be this strange need to get the order of "Modern Major general" wrong. Ben did it, now you are. "I am the very model of a modern major general I've information vegetable, animal, and mineral," being the preferred order.

I actually sang the whole song in a concert once. It was my one and only paid singing gig. The sheet music read "animal, vegetable, and mineral."
Maybe it was a misprint?
