So I am back in school. Finally delving into Japanese lessons. Got a text and everything. Been studying new structures, and verb conjugations. What I don't get is conjugating adjectives. Adjectives have tenses and negatives. . .
楽しい 楽しかった 安いけどおいしいかった <----- (probably wrong) and so on.
Been drumming up plans for Christmas. What would be awesome is a trip down to Kyoto with Sachi, meet up with the brother and his girl, head out to an onsen, a restaurant, and the reggae bar in Gion, built in an old bomb shelter. Gion is the night district in Kyoto, where geisha entertain.
Maybe we'll see some geisha.
I've only seen one geisha -- she was getting into a taxi cab at about 3 a.m. and about six men, including the cabbie, we're bowing to her as she glided into the cab. I was drunk and hiding in the shadows when she glanced at me.
But yes -- a Kyoto Christmas. Reckon it'd be a gooder. Spend the rest of the time at the brother's place playing Grand Theft Auto 4.
Set myself up with yet more financial goals, and should be able to be debt-free by 30 years old, while still living the good life. In the meantime I've only been drunk once in the past 2 weeks. Probably a record.
Still digging the work scene -- it's actually my main gig right now. I've talked a lot of bullshit about recording and so on, but I'm continually putting it off to work. With the exchange rate so sweet right now I've been sending the money home. But this year, I want to get another project on the go. In the past I've settled for whatever musicians came around, but I want to pick and choose and form a tight trio. Maybe in the new year. There's also the possibility of scoring a University position. If I could wrangle that, then a couple of years of hard work with my current company -- which is extremely reputable, and a University gig under my belt would benefit me for the rest of my life.
