So It Has Been, What Now. . .?

Last weekend I went into the Kansai region (Kyoto, Nara, and Tenri) for some sweet reggae bars, Japanese practice, and intruding in on Buddhist monk prayer in the pre-dawn. Geisha spotting, a few temples. Was driven around by distant Japanese relatives. Driven. So good. A few divey okonomiyaki restaurants. Kansai-ben is a hell of a lot different from Kanto.
Week before a few all nighters in Shibuya. Met up with a fellow teacher and a couple of his friends and we danced until we decided on beer and eggs for breakfast. Made plans to meet up the next day for some dinner and karaoke. Mongols rock!
Went to a baseball game today with the family. Last night in town before they return to the homeland. It'll be nice to return to my hovel and eat rice and watch movies for the next while, though I'm trying to get a few people hooked on the idea of Gyoza stadium this weekend. Got free tickets. . .

Hi Matt. I'm in Dublin. I've been here for a week and a half. I've been drinking lots of Guinness, looking at old buildings, riding on buses. I'm gonna go kiss the Blarney stone on the weekend. Then London, and then home.

I'm glad you posted on your blog. I was beginning to worry about you.

Hey Bigelow - you're alive! How's your new pad etc.?

Everything is okay in my world, folks. My new pad is really small but I mainly use it as a place to crash. My station is a geographical oddity -- it's a half hour away from everywhere. Akihabara. Shimokitazawa. Shibuya. Tokyo station. Yokohama.
But now I have no money. It'll take awhile to build up the funds again. But who cares!
