I feel like a battery

A car picked J. and I up and we went to the beach with new friends. Everybody is so pretty at the beach. Perfect bodies everywhere, playing sports and having fun. I played guitar with my shirt off, dozing about, letting time burn my shoulder pink.
People were drunk here last night. I was quiet, sipping FAXE and Holsten beer, tired from the feast the night prior.

The sun can sap all strength from me, but it also feels like a massage.

The people playing sports thing kind of freaked me out. I had no idea so many people were interested in being fit. Yes, they were pretty, but .... They must have to play frisbee for HOURS to get abs like that.

It would be very hard to have bodies like that and lives like ours. We'd be far less intelligent, for one thing.

And yet somehow we still manage to be The Beautiful People. Don't ask me how we do it. I suspect the answer might be Mass Hypnosis.

Beautiful people with cute little beer bellies. Yes, CUTE. Yes, BEAUTIFUL. Yes. Beer is beautiful. Though I think I have more of a gin belly.

they only look good on the beach. As soon as they leave, they wear the face of the masses.
